네덜란드에는 특별한 사탕이 있다. 보통 사탕이라면 눈에 띄는 색상에 먹고 싶도록 자극이 있어야 하는데 사진으로 볼 수 있듯이 도저히 먹고 싶은 맘이 들지 않게 생겼다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이 사탕은 네덜란드 사람들에게 무한한 사랑을 받는 존재이다.
영어로는 Liquorice, 네덜란드에서는 Dropje (도피여) 라고 불리는 이 까만 사탕은  네덜란드뿐만 아니라 미국, 스웨덴, 영국, 노르웨이에서도 사랑 받는 캔디라고 한다. 한국에 [...]

네덜란드 사람들은 자신들이 미신을 믿지 않는다고 한다. 접시를 깨는 날은 가능한 밖에 나돌아 다니지 않거나, 밤에 잘 때는 꼭 장롱 문들을 닫고 잔다는 (어렸을 때 장롱문을 열고 자면 귀신이 장롱 안에서 쳐다본다고 들었다) 나의 이야기를 들으며 깔깔 웃던 남친 에게 복수(?) 를 하기 위하여 그와 그의 친구들의 행동을 자세히 지켜보기로 했다.
